  Buddha Air plane hit by bird

KATHMANDU, Aug 2:
A Buddha Air plane bound to Biratnagar from Kathmandu was hit by a bird while landing at Biratnagar Airport on Thursday morning.

The bird hit one of the wind blades of the 9 N-AJO aircraft at around 8:30 am, according to an official at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

The aircraft has sustained minor damages in the incident.

According to Rupesh Joshi, a senior marketing manager of the Buddha Air, a total of 70 passengers were on board during the time of the incident.

All the passengers and crew members are safe, Joshi said.

A Buddha Air team of engineers has left for Biratnagar to inspect damages on the plane, Joshi informed.

Yasodhara Thapa was the captain of the plane.
