  One-third budget affects development activities

KATHMANDU, Aug. 4: The development activities have been adversely affected, as the government failed to bring full budget for the fiscal year 2012/013.

While presenting the one-third budget for this year, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun had announced that the development activities would not be affected, but it went in contradiction after the government decision to conduct feasibility studies for special economic zone were marred for want of necessary budget.

The Ministry of Industry has failed to implement the proposals on feasibility studies in Dhanusha, Rautahat, Siraha and Gorkha districts.

Ministry Spokesperson Yam Kumar Khatiwada told the National News Agency (RSS) that work on forwarding proposal on feasibility studies was halted due to the budget crunch
