KATHMANDU, Aug. 4: Following clarification from the Higher Secondary School Board (HSEB), the Kanjirowa Higher Secondary School in Koteswor has begged apology for voluntarily declaring the best students and using their photos on hoarding board for advertisement.

A study, investigation and monitoring taskforce formed by the Council had sought clarification from the school last week in connection with an advertisement that claims the highest-scorer is studying at the school in grade 11.

Member-Secretary of the taskforce and chief of monitoring division of the Council, Dambar Kumar Batas, said further action has not been taken after the school made commitment in writing to not commit such mistakes.

He further said they are seeking clarification again from the Ambition Academy in Old Baneswor for repeating the same mistake of using students on hoarding boards.

Meanwhile, Batas informed the media that they would monitor the higher secondary schools outside the Valley including Biratnagar, Butwal and Pokhara next week.
