  Three held with fake Indian currency

KATHMANDU, Aug 7: Nepal Police have arrested two Pakistani nationals and a Nepali in possession of fake Indian currency with a face value of IRs 2.95 million.

Those arrested are Rahamat Bashir Dhobi (48), a resident of Parshurampur VDC, Bara; and Sohail Mohamed Ismail (40) and Muhammad Naimullah (47) of Karachi, Pakistan.

SSP Jaya Bahadur Chand of Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka said they were arrested from Hotel Classic on Monday evening.

Dhobi was arrested in possession of IRs 850,000 and Ismail and Mullah IRs 1.05 million each. Ismail and Naimullah have confessed that they had arrived in Kathmandu on Monday via Pakistan Airlines, according to the police.
