  Hunger strike put off

RAJBIRAJ, Aug. 9: A hunger strike staged by Nepali Congress, Saptari has been put to an end after four days.

The strike was put off after a dialogue between hunger strikers and local administration.

Nepali Congress had started hunger strike putting forward various demands including declaration of martyr to Nepali Congress, Saraswor VDC President Indra Narayan Yadav.

President of NC, Saptari, Constituency-6 Khagendra Prasad Yadav and Vice-president Basudev Prasad Thakur had performed hunger strike at Bishnupur Chowk in Kalyanpur since last Sunday.

Congress was in struggle to provide relief to the victim family of Yadav who was shot dead by Tarakanta Yadav of Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum Nepal two months ago.

The local administration has pledged to take initiative for relief to victim family and dispatch objective details of the incident to the concerned authority, said Coordinator of Struggle Committee, Bhagawat Yadav.
