KATHMANDU, Aug 10: Bijay Sinjali of New Buddha Prakash School won two gold medals on Friday in the opening day of the First National Junior Wushu Tournament. Sinjali won gold in boys´ group C Changquan with 6.85 points and group A Nanquan with the score of 7.80 points.
In Changquan Sanjay Tamang and Kiran Ale Magar secured second and third positions while in the Nanquan Ashish Shrestha and Suresh Bhujel won silver and bronze medal.
In boys´ Taijiquan group A, Bivek Shrestha of Balambu bagged gold with 7.15 points while Binam Sunuwar of Suryodaya and Basudev Sunuwar of The Rising School won silver and bronze medals respectively.
In group B girls´ Changquan, Junu Syangbo of New Buddha won gold medal with 6.60 points. Kavita Nepali of Suryodhaya and Aakriti Gurung of TIA won silver and bronze medals respectively.
In group B boys´ Changquan, Kalyan Rai of Harisiddhi clinched gold with 7.15 points. Bijay Lama of New Buddha Prakash and Ashish Rai finished second and third, respectively.
In group A girls´ Changquan, Kavita Shrestha of TIA clinched gold while Rinzi Sherpa of New Buddha Prakash won gold in the same category with 7.80 points. Ankit Yonzon and Sujan Shrestha finished in second and third positions respectively. In group A girls´ Taijiquan, Savita Rai won gold with 6.60 points
