Ilam, Aug 12: Locals have enforced a banda in the Ilam bazaar on Sunday demanding an uninterrupted supply of electricity. They have also padlocked the Nepal Electricity Authority´s branch office in the district headquarters.
Ilam is facing a complete blackout from the past eight days. Around 21 VDCs and the district headquarters have been facing the power-cut after a transformer exploded here.
The locals have accused the NEA officials of not doing enough to resolve the power crisis and also warned of stiff protest if electricity is not restored immediately
