PM firm on building int'l airport in Pokhara

RSS

POKHARA, Aug 13: Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has expressed the determination that he would build an international level regional airport at Chhinedanda in Pokhara.

Addressing a program in Pokhara, PM Bhattarai convinced that he would build an airport at any cost as no development was possible in Pokhara without an international airport.

Construction works of the airport has been already moved ahead considerably and it has been delayed only because of some technical reasons, he said.

The prime minister said that the airport was the first government priority and there will be no development if tourists could not be brought to Pokhara.

Dr. Bhattarai informed that the government had already fulfilled all the processes to buy two large sized airplanes through Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and the cabinet had already formed a commission to stop encroachment of Fewa Lake.
