KATHMANDU, Aug 14: All Nepal Government Temporary and Contract Employees Association has demanded permanency to all the government employees working on the temporary and contract basis through internal competition.

A delegation led by Association´s Chairman Rajan Karki on Tuesday met Chief Secretary Lilamani Poudel and submitted nine-point demands to him, calling for updating the state mechanism with transparency and free from all sorts of discriminations.

The Association demands for compulsorily participating the employees working on the temporary and contract basis in the Civil Servant Day, beginning a process of permanency to the employees who had already served more than 240 days and giving temporary appointment to the contract employees serving six months or 180 days, among others.
