KATHMANDU, Aug 16: President Ram Baran Yadav has drawn attention of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to the deteriorating condition of Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a fast-unto-death protesting political interference in appointments at the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu.
According to the President´s Press Advisor, Rejendra Dahal, the president became concerned over KC´s health and asked the prime minister to take steps to save the life of the doctor.
In the meantime, the Nepali Congress has also expressed its concern over the deteriorating condition of the doctor and drawn the attention of the government to his demands.
