KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Sipradi Trading - the distributor of Tata Motors in Nepal - has introduced new models of Indica V2 and Indigo CS in the Nepali market. The cars are available in both diesel and petrol variants.

The Indica V2 diesel has a displacement of 1396cc that delivers 53.5 ps at 5,500 rpm with a maximum torque of 85nm at 2,500 rpm. Similarly, the petrol variant has 1193 cc engine that produces 65.3 ps at 5,000 rpm and 100nm torque at 2,700 rpm.

“The interiors of the new Tata Indica V2 are in shadow beige color. The top trim sports a sporty centre console and has features like power windows, keyless entry, Bluetooth enabled music system and USB port, four spoke collapsible steering wheel, tachometer, rear parcel shelf, 60:40 rear seating, front and rear fog lamps,” Sipradi Trading said in a statement on Wednesday. “The exterior styling has been enhanced with sporty alloy wheels, attractive decals, a new tail light cluster and rear bumper compared to the previous model.”

The new Indica V2 is available in four diesel variants and one petrol variant. The price of diesel cars starts from Rs 1.445 million while the petrol variant is priced at Rs 1.595 million.

“As Indica V2 is the cheapest diesel car in the Nepali market, we are very hopeful that it will create a buzz here,” Arjun Kari, product manager of car division at Sipradi, said. “We target to sell 200 units of this car within a year of its launch.”

All the new models of Indica V2 are available in attractive colors like Neo Orange, Arctic Silver, Mint White and Burgundy Royal.

The new Indigo CS is an entry level mid-size segment compact sedan equipped with 1405 cc TDI diesel engine producing a maximum power of 70 ps at 4,500 rpm with maximum torque of 135 nm at 2,500 rpm. Similarly, the petrol variant of Indigo CS has 1193cc engine that delivers 65.3 ps at 5,000 rpm and maximum torque of 100nm torque at 2,700 rpm.

The car boasts of R14 alloy wheels, satin finish front grille, headlamps and ORVM with blinkers. The interiors in the car have been enriched with dual-tone beige seating and dashboard, premium wood-finish centre console and new instrument cluster with chrome rings. Besides, it has other features like keyless entry, Bluetooth connectivity and electrical controls for ORVMs, AC, power steering and power windows.

“The Indigo CS is the most fuel-efficient diesel sedan in the country as it delivers a mileage of more than 20 kmpl depending on road condition,” claimed Karki.

Sipradi has introduced two variants of Indigo CS each in diesel and petrol segment. The price of diesel variant starts at Rs 2.245 million while the petrol variants start from Rs 1.945 million. All the variants of Indigo CS are available in Porcelain White, Arctic silver and Burgundy Royal colors.

Sipradi Trading provides warranty of 18 months or 50,000 km, whichever comes first, on the new cars.
