KATHMANDU, Aug. 21: The government has initiated necessary task for outer ring road development project with top priority. An agreement has already been made about a field survey, social survey, land readjustment, block plan and consultation services for engineering design.
Besides, the final report on environmental social impact evaluation has been presented before the Environment Ministry, said the Ministry of Urban Development.
According to the Ministry, the detailed project report (DPR) in 10 kilometer area from Satungal to Paiyatar is being prepared.
Similarly, the Ministry has speed up the program intended at creating employment opportunity in three villages in every development region under the Model Integrated Town Development Program.
The program is implemented at Dhungesankhu in Taplejung, Kuibhir in Okhaldhunga, Piskar in Sindhupalchowk, Malu in Dolakha, Thosey in Ramechhap, Jitpurfedi in Kathmandu, Pataura in Rautahat, Susta in Nawalparasi, Thawang in Rolpa, Taksera in Rukum and Lek Barahi in Humla, said Ministry´s Joint Secretary Hari Prasad Koirala.
Likewise, the task of constructing Mithila Cultural Center in Janakpur is taking place with a view to conserving cultural heritage. Conservation task for the Changunarayan and Suryabinayak area has been initiated, said Joint Secretary Koirala.
