KATHMANDU, Aug. 21: The government has introduced a special security plan (SSP) in the capital city on Tuesday in order to control criminal activities.
Police would be mobilized round the clock as per the SSP implemented for a month for the first phase, said Senior Superintendent of Police, Jay Bahadur Chand, Chief at Kathmandu Police Sector.
As many as 2,400 security personnel have been mobilized under the SSP and alert exercised in various priority areas.
The plan would be reviewed and made more effective from next month, said Chand.
The decision to this end was reached at a meeting held at Hanumandhoka under the chairmanship of Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Chuda Mani Sharma.
