  Special health team leaves for Doti

KATHMANDU, Aug. 23: The Department of Health Services, Child Health Division, has sent a team of specialist doctors to carry out on-site study of use of measles and DPT vaccines in Doti district.

The Division assigned a team comprising representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and independent pediatric doctors after a news about the death of four children, who were vaccinated for DPT and measles of late, was published, and the team has already left for Doti today itself, according to Director at the Division, Dr Taranath Pokhrel.

The team will carry out on-site study on the cases and will submit a report to the Division.

Pokhrel said that the cause of their death will be identified only after the submission of report.
