  BUSINESS BRIEFS: Shikhar Shoe introduces 30 new models

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Shikhar Shoe has introduced 30 new varieties of shoes in unique and attractive styles targeting the upcoming festive season. Issuing a press statement, the company said the new models have been introduced to cater to the growing demand for fresh designs to match up with the festive mood.

The newly launched products include casual and sports shoes and they are priced in range of Rs 1,800 to Rs 3,500. Shikhar Shoe has been offering shoes of all categories and they are popular in the market because of their durability, comfort, quality and affordable prices, said the statement.

NIC Foundation supports renovation of pond

KATHMANDU: NIC foundation, a non-profit charitable organization established by NIC Bank, has provided financial support of Rs 50,000 for the renovation of pond in the premises of Kamaladi Ganesh Temple. The historical pond is being renovated by Shree Kamaladi Ganesh Jamami Guthi. Sashin Joshi, CEO of NIC Bank, handed over the support amount to Rabin Maharjan, chairman of the Pond Renovation Sub-committee, the bank said issuing a press statement on Tuesday.

NIC Foundation has been working for bringing about constructive changes in the society, focusing mainly in areas of health and education. It has been providing scholarships to disabled, orphans and girl children, organizing free health checkups, and supporting old age homes and orphanages.

Hotel Barahi announces special package

KATHMANDU: Hotel Barahi, Pokhara has announced a special summer package. Issuing a statement on Tuesday, the hotel said the package available at Rs 9,999 includes accommodation for two in deluxe rooms for two nights, a bottle of wine, candle lit dinner and others. The package is also available at Rs 4,999 per person on twin sharing basis. “The package is valid for Nepalis and till the end of September,” the statement added.
