KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The price of gold surged, again, in the Nepali market on Wednesday by Rs 105 per tola (11.664 grams), making it to Rs 59,300 per tola.
Officials of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (Negosida) attributed the price hike to the increase in price of gold in the international market.
According to Rajendra Tuladhar, office secretary of Negosida, the price of gold in the international market has increased by USD 4 per troy ounce making it USD 1,667 per troy ounce when the association fixed the rate.
The price of the yellow metal went down by Rs 204 per tola on Tuesday ending its five-day bull run in the domestic market.
However, the price of silver has remained constant and was traded at Rs 1,120 per tola on Wednesday as well.
