  Authorities close 3 drugstores

ITAHARI, Aug 31: Authorities have shut down three drugstore operating in Itahari ahave been closed after they were found operating illegally.

According to Ganesh Timsina of the monitoring team of the Food Technology and Quality Control Office, the drugstore at TR hospital, OM Shree Janata Medical Hall and Bhandari Homeo Pharmacy have been closed.

According to Timsina, the drugstore on the premises of TR hospital was operating without registration and the other two were being run under proxy registration.

The monitoring team also warned TR Hospital and Adhikari Diagnostic Center that are operating without registration to start the registration process immediately.

In the course of monitoring, the team also found date-expired drugs at the community health centers and most of the drugs stores were manned by persons other than the registered owners.
