Chief secy holds discussion on info ministry problems
KATHMANDU, Sept 4: The office bearers of different bodies under the Ministry of Information and Communications have presented their programs and problems to Chief Secretary of the Government Lilamani Paudel.
During the discussion program held at the Ministry on Tuesday, they presented about their present status, programs, priorities and future plans.
The representatives of the state-media stressed the need of making a new laws and amending some provisions of the existing laws as they were hindrance for the work execution.
They also drew Chief Secretary Paudel´s attention to take initiatives for amending some legal provisions.
Chief Secretary Paudel urged the media officials to develop the record keeping system and make their performances up to date.
He said that trends of remaining busy at work but poor performance should be ended and urged the officials to be transparent and make public their activities in every quarters of the fiscal year.
Chief Secretary Paudel stressed for holding regular meetings with the spokesperson of the Ministry as well. Secretary at the Ministry Surya Silwal said that efforts were underway to effectively run the activities of the Ministry.
Executive Chairman of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) Komal Nath Baral said that forming an effective mechanism to stop illegal use of RSS news was an urgent.
