KATHMANDU, Sept. 10: Different student unions halted the vehicular movement across the country today in protest of the government decision of increasing the price of petroleum products.

Citing that the price hike of petroleum products has hit the consumers hard, they have demanded that the decision be withdrawn.

Irate students organised a chakkajam or vehicular movement strike in front of different colleges in the capital from 9:00-10:00 am. They have been obstructing the vehicular movement since Friday against the hike of petroleum products.

President of the All Nepal National Free Students Union, Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus unit Netra Mainali warned of announcing further programmes of protest against the price hike if the demand is not addressed
