KC rubbishes talk about CA revival

REPUBLICA ONLINE

CHITWAN, Sept 19: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Arjun Narsingh KC said on Wednesday that the discussion on reviving the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) is irrelevant in the present context.

Stating that NC has been calling for fresh elections for the last three months, leader KC said even the Supreme Court has ruled against reviving the CA. "The talk about reinstatement of the dissolved CA has no meaning," he added.

Talking to media persons at Bharatpur airport, KC further said the political parties should focus on fresh CA polls and the formation of consensus government.

He also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of trying to impose totalitarianism on the country and criticized Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, saying the Maoist chief cannot be trusted for his words.

KC has arrived in Chitwan to participate in a program organized by his party´s youth wing Tarun Dal.
