  US envoy Bodde calls on PM

KATHMANDU, Sept. 19: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai was called on by the US Ambassador to Nepal Peter W Bodde at the former´s office at former´s office on Wednesday.

At a first meeting held with Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai after presenting letter of credence to the President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, matters relating to US-Nepal relations and mutual benefits and interests were discussed.

Ambassador Bodde had inquired about the efforts being made among the political parties and contemporary political situation, said Prime Minister´s aide Prashant Lamichhane.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Bodde paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.

Matters concerning consolidation of bilateral relations and security arrangements were dwelt on between the two, said Spokesperson at Home Ministry Shanker Prasad Koirala
