RAJBIRAJ, Sept 21: The investigation committee constituted to probe into the unpleasant situation following clash between inmates at the Rajbiraj Prison on September 5 has completed its task.

The committee has prepared a comprehensive report after studying and investigating the physical condition inside the prison, details of the moveable and immovable property, the overall management of the prison, security arrangements and the condition of the inmates, its is stated.

It has also made recommendations on immediate measures and long-term measures for prison reform to avoid such incidents in future.

The committee concluded that the clash between the inmates on September 5 and another one on September 11 was due to two ´groups´ of inmates that had formed with the intention of capturing the shop, the canteen and the telephone booth inside the prison.
