KHOTANG, Sept 22: A 27-year-old was injured after a police officer assaulted him at Bajhobari of Kharmi VDC, Khotang on Friday afternoon.
DSP Bhim Bahadur Dahal beat up Yubraj Basnet, a staff at Diktel Police Office, after the latter didn’t turn up with a horse as demanded by him.
Dahal was on his way to southern region of the district following a tip-off Biswas Khumbu, central member of Khumbhuwan, had demanded donations from locals.
Injured Basnet is receiving treatment at District Hospital, Diktel.
