TANAHUN, Sept 22: Three cargo trucks headed for Kathmandu were set on fire at Bhumesthan-6, Dhading along the Prithvi Highway by a group who identified themselves as former Maoist combatants disqualified from the integration process.
According to Dhading Police, the members of the group numbering around 30 were carrying Maoist flags and weapons.
They torched the trucks with registration number NA 3 KHA 8837 that was loaded with sacs of sugar, Na 2 KHA 4616 that was carrying beers and Lu 1 Kha 6023 which was ferrying cement to the capital.
The group also looted mobile set of the driver of the truck Na 2 KHA 4616, according to truck proprietor Hira Tripathi. Meanwhile, UCPN (Maoist) has denied involvement of any of its cadres in the incident.
