  Six killed in Parbat jeep mishap

BAGLUNG, Sept 26: Six persons have died and three others injured when a jeep swerved off the road and fell some 500 meters down in Saligram VDC, Parbat on Tuesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Basundhara Bhattarai, 68, and  Man Bahadur Bashyal, 64, of Urampokhara-4, , Dilliram Bhusal, 56, of Urampokhara-5, Yam Bahadur Thapa, 64, and his 18-year-old daughter Jeet Kumari Thapa and Bhakta Ram Rana, 76.

The injured have returned homes after being treated at a health post in Huwas, informed district police office, Parbat.

The jeep (1 Ja 4679), en-route to Urampokhara, Parbat from Waling of Syangja met with an accident near Daraukhola, Saligram VDC-2, informed Shyam Aryal, police inspector at the district police office, Parbat.

The jeep driver Raju Pariyar has been absconding following the incident. After the preliminary investigation, police are assuming that the incident took place due to overload.

Further investigation into the case is on.
