KATHMANDU, Oct. 4: Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Posta Bahadur Bogati has said that the task of regional-level international airport to be constructed in Pokhara is moving ahead in a positive way.

Visiting Nepalese delegation led by ministry´s secretary has held discussions with Chinese representatives in China some days ago and the discussions were positive to construct the airport in Pokhara, Bogati said.

Talking briefly to journalists on Thursday, Minister Bogati said the dream cherished by locals for the construction of international airport in Pokhara would come true.

He said the Nepali team informed the Chinese representatives that problems were created due to Nepal´s Public Procurement Act and adding that Nepal was ready to forward the construction works by correcting the process.

Locals of Pokhara have been staging phase-wise protest programmes for weeks demanding the government to construct the airport
