  AC buses for the first time in Eastern region

JHAPA, Oct 17: Night bus service with air condition facility has been brought into operation from Kakadvitta in Jhapa district to Kathmandu for the first time from the eastern development region.

Mechi Bus Entrepreneurs´ Association brought two night buses with AC facility into operation from today on the occasion of Dashain festival.

Chief District Officer, Narendra Raj Sharma, inaugurated the bus service.

The Association brought the service into operation by installing AC equipments on a bus (Na 4 Kha 7045) of Miteri Travels and a bus (Na 4 Kha 6226) of Makalu Travels.

According to Chairman of the Association, Shree Prasad Mainali, the buses were brought from India at a cost of Rs. six million for each bus and bus fare from Kakadvitta to Kathmandu has been fixed at Rs. 1,550 per person.
