KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Five months after its general convention, Sadbhawana Party (SP) on Wednesday distributed portfolios among its central committee members.
Laxman Lal Karna, who was serving as co-chairman of the party, will continue in the post. Nara Singh Chaudhari, Naval Kishor Sah and Bishwonath Rajbanshi have been appointed as vice-chairmen of the Madhes-based party.
According to SP leaders, Manish Kumar Suman and Saroj Yadav have been selected as the party general secretary. Similarly, Sitaram Mandal and Rajkumar Gupta have been given the responsibility of joint-general secretary.
Arun Kumar Singh has been appointed as treasurer while Santosh Kumar Mehta has been appointed party´s spokesperson. General Secretary Suman said that the party chairman will soon appoint two more vice-chairmen, three general secretaries and a joint-treasurer.
SP had held its fifth national general convention in the first week of May this year in Janakpur.
The party had decided to mention in its statute the provision of allocating seats for representatives of Muslim, Dalit, women and hill communities. SP has already expedited efforts to expand its presence in hill districts.
