  BUSINESS BRIEFS: Qatar Airways' offline payment facility

KATHMANDU, Oct 18: Qatar Airways has introduced an enhanced booking feature whereby its customers can now pay for reservations made online (on www.qatarairways.com) at any of its local office.The company said passengers can create bookings online and pay for those bookings in cash at a local Qatar Airways reservations and ticketing office.

“Payment must be completed within 24 hours of booking,” the company said in a press statement. Once payment for the booking is made, passengers can check-in online and also select their preferred seat and meals.

Passengers who prefer to pay through credit cards can still complete their travel arrangements online. The new booking functionality was introduced in order to give passengers more payment choices, said Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker. “The new solution is both user friendly and gives passengers greater flexibility,” the statement quoted Baker as saying.

Close Up Deep Action hits market

KATHMANDU:
Close Up, a leading tooth paste brand, has launched ´Close Up Deep Action´, a new and improved product. According to a press statement issued by the company, the new product with active zinc reaches the deepest corner of mouth to remove germs. “It also has micro shine crystals, which remove the yellow film from the teeth for a natural white smile,” stated the company, adding that it has presently launched two variants of Close up Deep Action -- Red Hot and Peppermint Splash.

Close up is the number one gel-based toothpaste in Nepal. “The new product is taking yet another step forward to provide customers with improved formulations, which helps you keep fresh all day long,” said the statement issued by the company.

Winners of Springwood Youthful Moments declared

KATHMANDU
: Surya Nepal that hosted Springwood Youthful Moments, an online contest for its Springwood range of apparels, has declared names of the winners of the contest on Thursday. According to a press statement issued by the company, a total of 59 participants were shortlisted and Ganesh Gurung, with 732 likes on his picture, won the first prize. Gurung received a Springwood gift voucher worth Rs 15,000, while Avishek Mali, with 572 likes, received Rs 10,000 gift voucher as second prize.

Similarly, Ratna Khadka, with 539 likes, received Rs 5,000 voucher as the third prize. Consolation gift vouchers worth Rs 2,000 were won by Gopal Acharya, Carol Kanodia, Nikita Saraf, Yelin Hyoju, Swastik Raj Banjara, Anusha Shrestha and Jagannath Luitel, the statement concludes.
