15 persons killed in eastern region during Dashain

ITAHARI, Oct 30: Altogether 15 people were killed in vehicle accidents in various places of the eastern Nepal during the Bada Dashain festival period.
During that period, some 122 people sustained injuries, said the Eastern Regional Traffic Police Office, Itahari.
Fifteen people lost their lives in 63 vehicle accidents until the evening of Kojagrat Purnima from Ghatasthapana day of Dashain, said the traffic police.
Accidents were caused mainly due to excessive consumption of alcohol and negligent driving, police said.
