Our turn to lead govt: Gajurel

UPENDRA LAMICHHANE

BHAKTAPUR, Oct 30: CPN-Maoist Vice-chairman CP Gajurel said governments under UCPN-Maoist, Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML have all failed and added that his party should now lead the next government.

Stating that it is futile to have Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai in office further, Gajurel, while speaking at a program in Bhaktapur, on Tuesday, said his party has put forth party General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa’s name for the next prime minister.

He claimed that the full-fledged fiscal budget will not be endorsed at any cost. “At this point of time, approving budget means prolonging the ‘unconstitutional’ government’s tenure.”

The Maoist leader further predicted that the country will see a drastic political change on November 10 and said the day would be ‘an ordeal’ for all political parties as well the president.
