Oli shifted to general ward from ICU

REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli, who is undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital, has been shifted to general ward from ICU at the Haryana-based hospital. Oli´s aide Indra Bhandari, who is at the hospital, said the leader has been recuperating well in the last couple of days.

Bhandari said, Oli is likely to be discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. Bhandari said Oli will stay in New Delhi for some days even after being discharged from the hospital for follow-up check ups.

Oli was receiving treatment at Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali before he was taken to New Delhi in an air ambulance Sunday. He was admitted to the Norvic Hospital last week after he complained of chest pain.

Oli fell ill during his recent visit to the US and was admitted to a New York-based hospital. The UML leader had undergone kidney transplant a few years ago and has been regularly visiting Apollo Hospital in New Delhi for medication.
