SARLAHI, Nov 26: A student has been mowed down to death by a school bus in Ramgopalpur along the Bardibas-Jaleshwor road section of Mahottari on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Sah, 18, of Dolathi, Ramgopalpur-2.
Sah who was severely injured following the mishap breathed his last while being rushed to a Janakpur based hospital, informed police inspector Suraj Khadka.
The bus (Ja 1 Kha 536) belonging to Adlus Point English Boarding School hit Sah, who was an eleventh grader at Mahendra Higher Secondary School, Ramgopalpur.
Irate locals have vandalized the bus and obstructed the Bardibas-Jaleshwor road section demanding compensation.
Area Police Office Ramgopalpur has impounded the vehicle and detained the bus driver.
