KATHMANDU, Nov. 26: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has been planning to unveil different programs in its bid to manage the traffic system and reduce road accidents in Kathmandu valley.

Organizing a news conference on Monday, the traffic officials said that the anti-drunk campaign would be launched round the clock in the capital city.

Similarly, the license of the drivers would be suspended if s/he were caught out driving by consuming alcohol more than five times.

The Division has also preparing to establish a traffic police sector in Police Sector, Singhadurbar, to manage the traffic system in Putalisadak, Singhadurbar and Maitighar areas.

Likewise, traffic police would be deployed in public vehicles of all routes in the valley to instruct traffic related rules to passengers and drivers, said Chief of Division Inspector General of Police Upendra Kanta Aryal.

The Division is also preparing to register the complaints of victim drivers and action to taxi drivers if they were found charging exorbitant fares.
