KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Society of Economic Journalist of Nepal (SEJON) on Friday awarded four journalists from different media houses for delivering best news stories on economic issues over the past year.
Prime Minister Babu Ram Bhattarai handed over the award to Lok Mani Rai from Kantipur daily, Babu Ram Khadka from Karobar daily, Badri *Gautam from Nepal Television and Surendra Thapa from Avenues Television.
Of them, Rai and Khadka shared award worth Rs 51,000 from print media, while Gautam and Thapa shared award of another Rs 51,000 from electronic media.
SEJON, an umbrella organization of economic journalists, have been awarding journalists producing best economic stories since 2010.
At a program organized to mark the SEJON Day, SEJON also felicitated two senior economic journalists Prateek Pradhan and Gajendra Budathoki from Karobar daily for their contribution in the field of economic journalism.
