FALEBAS, Dec 3: A 105-year old elderly woman of remote village in Parbat district has shown that life is not too short as she wanted to acquire Nepali citizenship at 105.
Krishna Kumari Khatri, a resident of Pakhapani VDC -5, was the woman to take citizenship certificate on Sunday for the first time in her life.
She was given the citizenship by a team led by Assistant CDO of Parbat, Bhim Prasad Tiwari, which reached Lunkhudeurali.
Although Krishna Kumari had been receiving all services from the temporary record for the office, this was the first time she took the citizenship, said Assistant CDO Tiwari.
Some 150 persons, including Krishna Kumari, got the citizenship from Lunkhudeurali, Pakhapani and Balakot VDCs.
The team was sent as people of remote areas were unable to reach headquarters for various reasons, said CDO Tek Bahadur KC.
