KATHMANDU, Dec 11: German government has announced an additional 37.2 million euro assistance to Nepal for new and ongoing programmes for the year 2012- 2013.
According to a press statement issued by the German Embassy in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the amount comprises of 14.0 million euro in financial cooperation and 23.2 million euro for technical cooperation projects.
“This brings the German Development Assistance for Nepal since the beginning of Nepal-German cooperation in 1961 to a total of EUR 1.099 billion,” the statement said.
The emphasis of German Development Cooperation in Nepal remains on inclusive development, poverty alleviation and support to the peace process.
