  Four VDC secretaries suspended in Saptari

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has suspended four VDC secretaries of Saptari district effective December 2.

Dev Narayan Shah, Narayan Yadav, Narayan Yadav, and Dev Narayan Yadav and Baldev Yadav of Baikha, Ganda, Banainiya and Diyarba VDCs, respectively, were among those suspended, said Prem Kumar Shrestha, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry.

Shrestha said Baikha VDC secretary Shah has been suspended for making irregularities in the budget (capital expenditure), distributing the social security allowances showing forge documents including other charges.

Similarly, the secretaries in the Ganda, Banainiya and Diyarba VDC were charged for making financial irregularities creating forge documents for Dalit children protection allowance, single women, and failing to clear large amount of the social security allowances.
