UDAYAPUR, Dec 18 : A married couple has been found dead in a forest of Deurali hill of Udayapur district on Tuesday morning. Suicide has been suspected.
According to Udayapur district police office, Akriti Tamang of Lalpatta was found hanging from a tree in a forest near their house while her husband Shivaraj Tamang´s body lay on the ground under the tree.
Through preliminary investigation it has been revealed that the couple had tied knot just six months ago and Akriti was suffering from chronic illness.
Locals said that the couple could have committed suicide as they were too poor to pay for Akriti´s medical treatment.
Police said they could tell more about the deaths only after post mortem report is available.
"Families of the deceased have already received the bodies after post mortem at Udayapur District Hospital," said Poudel.
