  Top leaders apprise Prez of consensus efforts

KATHMANDU, Dec. 19: Top leaders of the big political parties have apprised the President of consensus efforts on Wednesday evening.

UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala and CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal jointly met President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and informed him about the discussions and meeting they held to forge political consensus.

Talking briefly to media after meeting the President, UML Chairman Khanal said, "We informed President about political progress."

However, Congress President Koirala said consensus was imperative and PM´s resignation was essential for this.

President Dr Yadav prodded the parties again, he added
