KATHMANDU, Dec 28: NMB Bank organized ´2nd Heritage Walk 2012´, in association with Kathmandu Metropolitan City, on Friday to mark the category ´A´ financial institution´s 17th anniversary. The Heritage Walk started from Babarmahal and passed through Thapathali, Tripureshwar, Sundhara, Bhotahity, Ason, Indrachowk, before ending at Basantapur.
"The sole purpose of this event was to raise awareness about the importance of preservation of our heritage sites," the statement adds.
Lumbini Finance to extend cash dividend
KATHMANDU: Lumbini Finance and Leasing Company is extending 16.32 percent cash dividend and 10 percent bonus shares from profit generated in last fiscal year. This decision was approved by the company´s 17th annual general meeting held on Friday in Kathmandu, according to a company statement. The company, with a paid up capital of Rs 294.90 million, collected Rs 1.56 billion in deposits and extended Rs 1.42 billion in loans till last fiscal year.
Another feather in Maruti Suzuki´s cap
KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has won awards in all the segments in NDTV Car and Bike Awards 2013. According to a press statement issued by CG Automobile -- the authorized distributor of Maruti Suzuki in Nepal, the ´NDTV Car and Bike Awards´ felicitate the best among the best, showcased in NDTV´s highly acclaimed ´The Car and Bike Show´.
"These awards are the automobile industry´s most credible awards, presented every year by NDTV," said the statement. The all new Alto 800, which is soon being launched in Nepal by CG Automobiles, was awarded ´Entry Hatchback Car of the Year´. Similarly, Suzuki DZire won ´Sub Compact Sedan of the Year´ while the 7-seater Life Utility Vehicle, Suzuki Ertiga won the ´MUV of the Year´ award.
