  Hello Sarkar received most complaints on constitution-writing

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: "Hello Sarkar", a phone-in line launched by the government to receive complaints from the public regarding service delivery, has received highest numbers of complaints about constitution-writing process in the period of one year.

According to the PM Office Singha Durbar, Hello Sarkar received about 17,764 complaints related to constitution-writing process, unemployment, load-shedding, price hike, embezzlement in foreign employment, violence against women and shortage of fertilizers among other things.

A meeting of nodal officers of Hello Sarkar who are responsible for acting on the complaints, held on Tuesday under the leadership of Krishna Hari Banskota, secretary at the prime minister´s office decided to address the complaints at the earliest. According to the officers at the prime minister´s office, Secretary Banskota has requested the officers to act on 75 percent of the complaints and inform the complainants about the development either in writing or verbally. He also asked the officers to make public the actions taken regarding complaints about corruption, fraud, artificial price hike, violence against women, and problems of children and senior citizens.

Anyone can inform about cases of corruption and irregularities, criminality, relief and rescue, disasters and other incidents of public concern by dialing the toll free number 1111 or by emailing on 1111@opmcm.gov.np or by sending SMS to 1111.
