RSS

LALITPUR, Jan. 3: The University of Granada, Spain, has sent DNA samples to the National Forensic Lab, Lalitpur to verify the authenticity of the tests carried out by the lab.

According to Bhinushobha Tuladhar, Director at the Lab, the samples are to be examined and sent back to Spain by the end of this month.

The University sends the DNA samples for verification to the forensic labs in different countries. She said Nepal took part in four such verification tests and got 100 per cent results.

She said the National Forensic Lab has to write to the University to have the authenticity of the lab tests verified.

The National Forensic Lab had started DNA tests since 2062 BS and the lab has conducted the tests of some 400 DNA samples so far.
