KATHMANDU, Jan. 4: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana is leaving for India on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of his Indian counterpart General Vikram Singh.
During the visit, CoAS Rana is scheduled to receive the insignia of honorary General of Indian Army from Indian President Pranab Mukharajee, according to a press statement released by the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate.
During his visit, CoAS Rana would hold meetings with the Chief of Indian Army Staff, Chief of India´s Air Force and Chief of India´s Naval Force.
Likewise, CoAS Rana would meet top officials of the Indian government. The nine-member team led by CoAS Rana is scheduled to return home on January 15.
