KATHMANDU, Jan 9: An earthquake tremor has been felt in the far western region on Wednesday afternoon.
According to National Seismological Centre, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 1:29 pm today, with its epicenter in the northern area of Bajura district.
The tremor was felt also in neighboring districts including Baitadi and Bajhang.
US Geological Survey has, however, stated that the earthquake was measured 5 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter lying 100 kilometers north of Dailekh and 68 kilometers from Jumla.
No reports about the loss incurred due to the earthquake have been received yet.
