BHADRAPUR Jan. 16: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Chakra Prasad Bastola, who is undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in New Delhi of India for brain hemorrhage, has shown steady improvement in his health.
Leader Bastola, who had been put on a ventilator for the past three weeks, was removed from the ventilator after gradual improvement in his health, and is now receiving oxygen indirectly, said Pramodh Chandra Sharma, a relative of Bastola.
However, he is yet to come back to consciousness, though his health has shown steady progress, Sharma said quoting doctors attending Bastola.
He is expected to recuperate extensively within a couple of weeks.
Brain surgery was performed on ailing Bastola at Silugudhi-based Neuro Hospital after he collapsed due to brain hemorrhage on last December 29. Later he was taken to Medanta Hospital, New Delhi by air ambulance for further treatment
