Dhading bus accident leaves 3 dead, over 30 injured

DHADING, Jan 21: A passenger bus skidded off the road and fell into a ravine at Bhakaremod in Jamrung VDC-5 here in the district on Monday morning, killing two people and injuring over 30 others aboard.
Police inspector Jeevan Budhathoki at the district police office said among the deceased are a man, a woman and a child. The child succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital, whereas the other two died on the spot. Their identities are yet to be established.
The injured are receiving medical treatment at the district hospital in Dhadingbesi. The ill-fated bus (Na 2 Kha 4985) meet with the accident at 8:30 am while it was headed for Dhadingbesi from Arughat.
Earlier this morning at 5:15 am, a bus (Na 3 Kha 5618) bound for Kathmandu from Pashupatinagar met with an accident at Khaharekhola bridge, in Bhumisthan VDC-4, leaving seven passengers injured. The injured were subsequently taken to Kathmandu for treatment.
