Maoists, oppn cadres clash looms in Dolakha

RAMESH KHATIWADA

DOLAKHA, Jan 25: Tension seemed brewing with potential clash between cadres of the ruling UCPN (Maoist) and those of opposition parties in the Dolakha district headquarters, Charikot, on Friday.

Opposition parties are preparing to take out an anti-government rally from Satdobato, whereas the Maoist cadres are rallying from the bus park to their district convention venue located at the premises of Kalinchowk Higher Secondary School.

Police have been kept on high alert. Additional police force from neighboring Sindhupalchowk has been called in, considering the looming danger of confrontation.
