Govt will be toppled thru street protest: Deuba

BARUN PANERU

DADELDHURA, Jan 25: Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Sher Bahdur Deuba on Friday accused the incumbent government of being authoritarian and said the government would be overthrown soon.

Speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union here in the district, leader Deuba added that street agitation of opposition parties has already gained momentum to topple the incumbent government.

Stressing on the urgent need of holding elections of Constituent Assembly, Deuba further accused the UCPN (Maoist) leadership of being reluctant to go for elections fearing loss. In a separate context, NC leader Deuba criticized the government for intimidating journalists.
