SOLUKHUMBU, Feb 7: A fire that broke out at a four-stored house in Salleri-5, Solukhumbu on early Thursday morning destroyed properties worth Rs 6 million, police said.
The fire that broke out from kitchen soon engulfed the house which belongs to Nima Sherpa. The damage could have been reduced if the locals were able to inform the police at earliest. However, the telephone line in the area has been disrupted.
The police, army and locals struggled to prevent the fire from spreading to other houses nearby, DSP Sudin Singh Basnet informed. The fire was doused at 5 am
